Subject: Connect Seasonic SS-560KM CPU cable to X470 Taichi
Posted: 17 May 2019 at 4:42pm
Before that I power the computer, can someone confirm me if this is the correct way to power the CPU of the X470 Taichi motherboard?
The PSU is a Seasonic Gold X-series SS-650KM Active PFC F3.
The CPU cable has 8 pins on the PSU side and 2 x 4-pin sockets on the mainboard side.
The mainboard has a 8-pin socket for ATX12V1 and a 4-pin socket for ATX12V2.
Can also someone explain the role of each of the ATX12V1 and ATX12V2 sockets?
Thank you very much.

N.B. I also have on hand several CPU/PCI-E cables, which go to the 12-pin sockets on the PSU side and split into 6 + 2 pins on the mainboard side.
