seems like Asrock cant release a bios that actually works .. but I guess from what I hear .. it's a problem with all manufacturers... guess none of the manufacturers want to pay people to actually make something that functions.

I have a X370 Taichi that has never had a correctly working bios .. now that the 3000 series is out .. they stopped working on bios for the x370 Taichi boards so I wont ever get one that works unless maybe I upgrade the processor since 5.60 is the latest one that is recommended for the 1700 chip .. they state that the 5.80 is not recommended for the older chips so .. guess I'm stuck with the 5.60 .. at least it allows you to set RAM timing when you OC your processor .. unlike the 4.81 beta that fixed some things but when you OCed your processor your ram timing went to 20 20 20 lol even when you had it set for 14 14 14.

The 5.60 lets you set the timing but pstate is broken .. people recommend you only set the 'speed' not VID or the other one and only pstate0 you can change voltages in the tweaker page.. I tried that .. OK this doesn't work .. first of all if you set the VID in the tweakers page it is ignored and goes by what set in pstate vid ... for the 1700 its 1.18 .. and remains there if I set the VID to 1.25 in the tweakers page ... and they said if I set the vid in the pstate page it wont throttle down to lower speeds when idle ... well .. sorry that's wrong information .. it wont throttle down at all unless you use Power Saver mode and then it will run at 1549mhz permanently.. so you can run at my OC 3.9 all the time with Power state High Preformance, AMD Ryzen Balanced or Balanced or at 1.5 if I use Power saver.

I just wish Asrock would actually fix their boards .. its been 3 chips and what 2 years and they still cant get a working one for a 200 dollar board ... I definitely don't want to spend 500 on a x570 if this is what I have to look forward too
