Motherboard: X470 Master SLI
BIOS: 3.40(SVM enable)
CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x(with GAMER STORM CASTLE 240 RGB)
Memory: 4x16GB Corsair CMW32GX4M2C3200C16 Vengeance RGB PRO @ 2666 cl16
Power Supply: CORSAIR HX Series HX1200 CP-9020140-NA 1200W
GPU: HIS Radeon RX 590 IceQ X2 OC 8GB
M2_1 : Samsung 970 EVO 500GB(NVME)
M2_2 : WD Black 500GB(NVME)
SATA1 : ADATA SU800 500GB

When BIOS 3.30 is used, it is 2993 cl18 even in memory full bank situation(not XMP), not even after BIOS update.

Should we look at it as a memory compatibility issue?
Or is it a matter of SVM options?

1.0.0.3ABB version of BIOS is waiting.

I resolved this issue, thanks to some help elsewhere. For posterity, the magic setting was to disable CSM in the BIOS.

In my BIOS, the setting is named: "Boot\CSM Compatibility" (set to Disabled).

Then, I had to re-install my OS because the old one was installed under CSM mode (not using UEFI).

But the CSM disable was the step that made it able to recognize the video card in the second x16 slot.

I haven't gotten the VM w/passthrough set up yet, but past this hurdle at least.

5.61 been released in jz for a few weeks back

if you fail to see the difference of 3000 15 to 3666 16 changing the board would pretty much make no difference

but my point is if you dont manually set the ram you'll surely run into unstable situations

thanks for the reply, I installed the latest bios and upgraded to the 3600, when I changed the ram setting to xmp profile 1 the computer wouldn't boot. I had to restart a few times until it would boot with the ram at 1064.5. Not sure where im going wrong

I am currently running R7 2700x and Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16GB DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Dual Channel on this motherboard. With XMP profile.
I see on the support page it only supports 3200mhz as OC.. so I'm not sure if its gonna be a a problem, will these ram will affect the motherboard in time? Anyway im looking to upgrade the MB since it doesnt have CPU-Overclock.

Motherboard: B450M Pro4
BIOS: 3.40
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 (with stock cooler)
Memory: 2x16GB G.SKILL Fortis (for AMD) F4-2400C15D-32GFT @ 2400 c15
Power Supply: Antec EARTHWATTS GOLD PRO 550W
GPU: ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER MINI
M2_1 (Ultra M.2 Socket): Adata XPG SX8200 Pro 1TB (NVME)
SATA1 : Seagate Momentus 2.5" 500GB

Problem I had encountered so far:

  • The performance of the ADATA SSD drive is very poor and I only get half of the specification rate and it is capped at ~1500MB/s for both read and write (although it is recognized and I can use it as boot drive).

From the specification, it should be capable of performing at ~3000 to ~3500MB/s transfer rate.

And according to CrystalDiskInfo, it is running only at "PCIe 3.0 x2" transfer mode but it also suggested that "PCIe 3.0 x4" mode is supported.

I had tried to fill in and submit the support request form at ASRock website about 2 weeks ago for this particular problem but had not heard anything back from them yet.

  • According to UserBenchmark, the RAM is performing far below expectation.

To be fair I have not enabled the XMP profile for ram / only used "AUTO" for most BIOS configuration so I am slightly less concerned about the RAM performance for now.

(For your information, you can also see that the SSD drive is underperforming as well while the whole machines seems to give an expected performance as a whole)

  • Similar to some earlier posts, it is a bit slow on the booting - typically takes ~15s (with fast boot disabled) / ~10s (after enabling fast boot AND detaching all old SATA drives).

This is not a huge problem but I wonder if I can do anything to improve it as the booting time is even longer than that of my ~5 years old Surface Pro 3 (< 5s) .

Please let me know if I should flash the latest BIOS for my motherboard / update any configuration.

Thanks!

I have an R5 3600 and a B450M Steel Legend, and all the fans (both case fans and CPU fan) spin at full speed when booting or waking the machine from sleep mode, but then spin down after a second or 2 to a low-power state (in which even the LEDs go off, which is particularly strange), and refuse to spin up at any other time.

This is particularly troublesome because my CPU can reach 95C at full load, and the CPU fan never increases its speed to help cool it. I only have bios 2.1, so I'm hoping maybe this is the issue? Or is it more likely that the board is defective? (I'm using the stock cooler, by the way, if that makes a difference)

I know there have been a lot of issues with the Ryzen 3000 CPUs, so I was hoping somebody else might've had this one?

This is the same issue I have with a B450 ITX + a 3700X
And a much very quicker/easier way to trigger the issue is by turning off the Power Supply. This is worse than leaving the PC sleeping for a few hours.

Yesterday I tried this method to clear the CMOS in a B450 ITX (and I left the PC like 8 hours with the Jumper ON and the battery disconnected):

http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=630&title=how-to-clear-cmos-via-battery-removal

But my profiles are still there, they were not wiped.

Could be possible that the profiles are never wiped and hence they are stored in some kind of separate memory?

Well, I don't really care about the Destiny 2 fix, because I don't play it. It's more that the latest AGESA is supposed to fix boost clocks, etc. It's more because of that...
I'll receive my ryzen and MB today, I hope I don't have those kind of issues, let's see how it goes, fingers crossed.

I installed the rgb software for my Taichi X570 MB. It updated firmware and then the UI poped open for it. None of the lighting changed when i tried using it. I reinstalled the software (it could not remove a file but I continued with install) It then finished the firmware update (that I thought had finished when the UI poped up)

The problem I am having is I can run the rgb software once upon a fresh restart of my computer. If I close the software it will not run again untill i restart the computer and run it again.

Any ideas or fixes? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I just upgraded to "AMD all in 1 with VGA driver ver:19.10.16_19H1_WHQL", however I noticed I'm no longer able to control the monitor's brightness settings trough the DDC-protocol when using that version.
Programs's such as the one provided by LG and ClickMonitorDDC no longer detect my monitor.
Downgrading to "AMD all in 1 with VGA driver ver:18.50.16.01_WHQL" solves the problem.
Monitor is a LG 27UK650 connected via displayport.
Is there anything else I can try? I would like the use the most recent driver..

Thanks!

boot problems on AB350 itx, makes me angry, when on Asus works all fine why not on Asrock ?

I was buying 100+ board from asrock to my customers, and they are all still working fine, but the boards was for intel cpu.

When my customer will buy AMD cpu now I will buy a Asus board, when intel than Asrock is the way.

My RGB lighting stays on after I shut down my computer. The only way I have found is by flipping the power switch on the back of the case.

Hello!

First, a little background:

My problem began a few months ago when I noticed systematic lag when playing online games(apex, fortnite) after 6 months of no problems whatsoever. I have since tried:

-tracking packets for loss(none)
-contacting my isp several times.
-Technician has come over to confirm signal is great.
-Drivers for GPU up to date. Windows updates are all there.
-Wifi signal is strong.
-No virus' or malware present.
-Moving the PC closer to the modem and plugging it directly 2 months ago(worked though i could not keep the PC at that location.). Now, I have the following problem described after this list.
-I also recently did a complete PC wipe(last week) and re installed windows. It fixed my online gaming problem for one day where i played 3 hours without any connection problem!!! Then the next day, back to 40kps average instead of 25mps that it gives me outside of games. This seems to be a clue but as to what, i am not sure. I dont have an internet problem or hardware problem i "think".

Now:

Recently, Ive tried plugging a longer, functional ethernet cable(tested with another device) into the motherboard to have a wired net connection in hope of solving my online gaming lag(severe drops in speed ONLY in game) but realized that it was not detecting the cable/connection.

I have tried installing the LAN driver on the ASRock support section but i get the ''The Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is ...'' message.

I remember having the PCIE family controller appearing or something similar at one point but now, seems to not be there. Is that causing my ethernet cable to not be detected? Can anyone please shed some light as to if my cable problem is a driver related one?

System:
Asrock ab350m pro 4
Ryzen 5 1400
16 Gb RAM
Nvidia Geforce 1060 3Gb

Thank you for any assistance in the matter!
