I don't know if you want the Wake on Lan for turning on the machine or wake it up from deep sleep/suspended to RAM.

These are two cases which can be tested seperatly.
PCI Device Power On is already set

Enable/Disable
- Advanced\Southbridge Config\Deep sleep
- Advanced\ACPI Configuration\Suspend to RAM
- Advanced\AMD PBS\Clock Power Management (CLKREQ#)

He brought the system back yesterday and tested with his own UPS and it came on. He tested with my own UPS and it came on. So to err on the side of precaution, I took his UPS to test with my computer. Worked fine for just a day and now this morning, it won't come on. Opened it up and rechecked all connections, nothing. My mouse and speaker lights come on but no power to the case fans, CPU fans or gpu. What else can I do? Is this a motherboard issue or a psu issue?

Nothing works :( I've bneen trying every combination for days now, on all previouls motherboards this just worked, on this one, nothing at all.

I give up, at least for now, maybe a BIOS update will fix this, if not I'll return the board.

Thanks for all your help, it's much appreciated.

I'd be interested to know if anyone has god WoL working on this board though (or the full ATX pro4)

Hello there,

I Wanted to say I'm very disappointed with the X470D4U motherboard.
I own 3 of these, and go from problems to problems since I purchased them.

I use them with Ryzen 5 2600 processors and 2x16 GB RAM.

First i had BMC and BIOS version 1.50.
The RAM wasn't recognized well, the web GUI was unstable., there was keyboard problems when not in Qwerty mode, and clearing CMOS didn't work.

Also, one of the motherboard didn't boot at all after 2 weeks of use and had to be changed by reseller by another new one.

So I upgraded BMC to 1.60 and BIOS to 3.10 to see if things could get better.

Now this is worst.

The motherboards get stuck on "Update FRU System device" if I don't unplug my Ethernet cards (Mellanox ConnectX-3 Pro). These cards were working flawlessly before the update.
Also now when you reset the computer, this also reset the IPMI half of the time.

So all BIOS and BMC are buggy and i never saw this before on professional hardware. I already lost dozens of hours trying to make these motherboards work with pluging/unpluging components and starting/restarting and now i'm just thinking of throwing them away and buy another brand hardware.

Nobody knows, if there will be a bios supporting this RAM out of the box.
Maybe the next bios can help.

This RAM is not on the QVL, neither on the lists of other boards.
You can try it with XMP for the next lower frequency and if it does not work, use the next lower...
Or do the same WITHOUT XMP.
And check the RAM voltage set to 1.35V
If success, make stress tests to ensure stability.

Or try the DRAM Calculater and read the howto's

Check your power in your house, if you are running under voltage that will
cause the issue you are experiencing. A lot of electronics will continue to run
on low voltage (including PCs) but a UPS is designed to keep power at rated
spec. This means that the UPS will draw power from it's battery to supplement
low power. Just like when a UPS turns off after a power outage when the battery
is drained it will do the same if the battery is drained and you have low
power. It may allow low wattage devices to work but when it senses a load
beyond what it is able to provide it will not send power to that device. In all
likelihood your PC will power on if you connect it without the UPS unless your
PSU specifically has a low power protection. Most quality PSUs are switching
models that are able to handle voltage from 110v (US standard) to 260v and
quite a bit in between. I wouldn't recommend using your system without a UPS if
you have bad power but connecting it just to test for a brief period should be
fine.

If your power is indeed low then you will need to contact your power company
and report the issue.

As in flash 3.50 b450 itx with ryzen 2000 series cpu and then insert 3000 series cpu.

I flashed from 1.7 to 3.10 originally.

I tried it today, bought a used 200ge off ebay and installed. Booted straight into Windows and ran a
Good benchmark on heaven.
Followed the guide and surprise surprise no different!.
Giving up with this as I can't be arsed any more and waiting for a working bios is more than I am prepared to do. Looking at a 570 board as the new case, power supply and processor can't gather dust any more.

Incidentally, as xaltar concluded, the 200 ge booted and ran flawlessly on bios version 3.50, despite not being recommended for older ryzen by asrock.

I took the risk of plugging the system direct to a power outlet, and still didn't come on. I tried the paper clip test on the PSU after disconnecting it entirely from the mobo and it turned on. I now reconnected it back, and removed both ram sticks, still didn't come on. I removed the computer case wires for power button and used a screwdriver to jump start the mobo, still didn't come on. This is a brand new asrock b450 pro4 motherboard. I don't know what else to do?

Just an update on my situation

CPU: Ryzen 3900X
MB: Fatalty X370 ITX (Bios 5.90)
RAM: Gskill DDR4-3200 2x8GB
GPU: GTX 1080
PSU: Seasonic Platinum 600W

So, as alluded to by Xaltar, seems as though my 600W PSU was inadequate to power the 3900x

I'm currently running tests with my 800W PSU and for the last 20 minutes or so, the system has been stable
There were some initial boot/post issues, but after clearing the cmos and rebooting a couple times, things seem to have settled

Fingers crossed

Can you try another 600w PSU?

I think the problem is not the power but compatibility of PSU on the x370...

OK so you're saying at boot-up, the BIOS is loading all twelve cores 100% somehow? :-p

Nope, not only do they not monitor the forums, they also don't reply to technical
support emails either beyond an automated reply telling you "technical support personnel will contact you soon"

Sure! ;-)

To see the differences at boot-up between X3900 and a little brother the voltages must be monitored with measurement tools. And i wouldn't be surprised if there are low voltage spikes with the X3900 because of the inrush-current (which is high in general with the Ryzens).

check that your cpu is installed correctly.

https://forum.level1techs.com/t/list-of-dr-debug-bios-codes/114364

Its fairly easy to get it wrong, amd doesnt really mark their cpu's as well as they should. I have bad eyesight and i really have to pay attention to the cpu rotation..

And you did remove your HDD when installing and now?
Another bios entry to check:
Advanced\CPU Configuration\AMD fTPM switch disabled?
