I have it working on different mobo and Linux, but my son has it working on windows with different mobo as well.
The key for us was to enable pcie devices to wake up computer and disable deep sleep. Can't remember exactly where are the settings from top of my head and I'll not be able to get to computer for some time.

Then it's a check box in linux/windows ethernet card settings as you most likely did. We set magic packet only. Please shutdown and power on manually with button at least once after setup (be aware that after power outage, this have to be repeated again), next time it should work with magic packet with app, command or what have you.

Try disabling IOMMU, I think it's needed only for pcie device passthrough and try using virtalbox if You need just a virtual machine.

The best option is to forget this mainboard RAID feature (in my opinion).
Even if it will function, your RAID will only work with this mainboard and moving it to another system will be impossible (in the most cases).

If you want RAID, use pure SW for it, completetely mainboard independent. The onboard RAID anyway is nothing else as a SW RAID, but with a complete unnecessary mainboard/bios dependency.

Here is a discussion (also boot SSD, 2xHD as RAIDx) with the same problems:

Thanks for your response. I'll think about it, I don't like the overhead processing that will be used for the sw raid, but then again I don't store files that often on those disks.

My rtx 2080 ti manual states to instal the card in the motherboards "primary" slot. Are all three of the slots on the x570 Taichi the same, or is one considered the primary? I haven't been able to find this information in the documentation.

best regards

Final update. Replaced the mobo as per Asrock Tech Support. Same problem. That was fun. The new mobo came in with BIOS ver. P1.80 and I didn't flash it yet to the new version. 100% sure that won't fix it, since the first mobo already had it.

If anybody else has an x570m Pro4 with SATA drives, I'd appreciate if you checked your system to see if you have the same problem, or not.

So, I'm calling this an official bug in the motherboard.

It could be a bum memory controller on the CPU .. or a faulty mobo... A2/B2 are generally what they tell you to use if only 2 slots .. but try A1/B1 I suppose.

Looks like you have matching memory sticks .. and even manually setting them you have same issue sooo ... a lengthy process if you ordered online, but rma the cpu and motherboard and see what happens with new setup maybe .. ? Hard to say definitively when you can't readily swap out parts to troubleshoot

could be bad power switch on case if you are able to manually jump the pins and it boots up fine .. try putting the reset button on the power pins and see if it comes to life .. if it does, then you know you have a bad switch

have you checked your event logs? .. I had similar issues with my daughters setup and it turned out to be the Intel WiFi drivers .. on another rig was having crashes due to ram not being able to run at it's spec timings so dialed them back and it is now stable..

Have you tried a fresh install of windows (of which you will want to do anyways before you pass it on to anybody) .. and your current windows should be at .418 instead of .388

but what your describing sounds more like a driver issue possibly .. but check your event viewer logs and it should point you to what your issue is

Possibly need to update the bios with a flash drive (there is a bios reset button on the motherboard near the ports). I think this can be done without a display.

You could try to change the driver for the SATA controller in the device manager. If you have the standard window driver, install the AMD driver, else the other way round.

BTW: Here in the forum a user had problems with his M2 SSDs. His solution was to change the SATA driver from AMD to standard windows driver.

Hello,

I am noob, so please forgive my lack of knowledge. I bought new Ryzen CPU and Asrock X570 Pro4 Motherboard. Now I am wondering which RAM to buy. I looked upon RAM support list: https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/X570%20Pro4/#MemoryPR

And I want to buy the following ram: Crucial BLS8G4D32AESBK

It's 8 GB module. Can I buy two such modules (2x 8 GB) and run them as 16 GB no problem?

That weird screen was getting on my nerves.

I went into the bios and enabled csm.

For now I am totally happy, both Linux and windows 10 still boot fine, no more weird screen, when I turn on pc.

I hate EUFI though, for all the headache it has given me.

But for now all seems fine, both win 10 pro and Linux are installed using UEFI and no weird screens.

Still don't understand the weird screen even with only windows 10 installed and csm disabled, but lets hope this is my last post on the subject.

I have Taichi X470 with Ryzen 2600x and Bios P3.50, everything works good. I bought Ryzen 3600x and cant get post - nothing.

I tried this one - X470 Taichi - BetaBIOS 3.73. I am able to get to the BIOS now, but PC doesn´t boot to Windows - still loading. I took my second NVME disk out, I got the windows message about repair, but Windows still doesn´t start.

I have back my 2600x inside now and will be waiting for a functional BIOS. Pretty sad when the officially CPU support list of X470 Taichi says "Ryzen 3000 since P3.40"...
